Sen Morimoto is a Chicago-based artist dropping his new single, ‘Deeper’. It’s essentially a jazz record, with luscious guitar chords and laid-back drum beats supporting both breezy saxophone melodies and a thought-provoking, melodic lead vocal. It’s a melancholic, introspective track that develops on the sound he first crafted in his earliest work. “There is a place in the center of my chest, tucked behind my heart, where only the most extreme depths of grief or joy make themselves known,” he explains. “When the context of everything in your life is squeezed into a single moment by the pressure of an overwhelming present it feels like you’re at the bottom of the ocean.
